Wednesday Afternoon and Evening

Wednesday 13th Afternoon and Evening

Lunch was supposed to be jacket potato, beans, cheese and tuna. Unfortunately something had gone wrong. The potatoes had escaped their jackets and reformed into potato salad. The cheese had hijacked some sausage rolls too. What we were left with was cheese pasties, potato salad, coleslaw, cucumber and tomato. What is strange is that food has become less about likes and dislikes and more about seeing how many of our depleted calories we can replace in 30 minutes. I’m sure when the children return they will soon be back to their old fussy ways!
Mrs Major’s group returned to slightly easier slopes after the adrenaline excesses of the morning. Jumps were constructed and they have the pleasure of having the whole slope to themselves.
Mr Martindale’s group returned to the ski park in search of massive air! The winner of the biggest jump competition was won by Harry I who forget about health and safety and totally went for it! They spent the afternoon meeting Mr Britten’s group just long enough for Mr Martindale to criticise his fellow teacher’s ability before leaving him under a pile of snow.
Mr Britten’s group were hampered by the old man of the group lagging behind at the back. At the start of the week he could fall back on the excuse that he was helping any fallers. Now that the group have stopped falling over, he really needs to think of a better excuse. Never, in the history of man, has a 2ft 6inch hot bath been so longingly looked forward too!

Evening Meal
Starter - Red Pepper Soup
Main - Chicken Pie, Sauté potatoes, green beans
Dessert - Toffee Éclairs

Evening entertainment was a quiz. Some children looked so tired, I think write your name at the top is testing some of them. Another challenge the children have had to face was the “after eight eating competition”. This involved placing an after eight mint on your forehead and eating it without using your hands. Harvey won this with an amazing display. Pictures to follow - hopefully.

Some statistics from the week. We have received 47 messages so far! There has been over a thousand views of the blog.
