Ski Trip Day 7
Breakfast was the usual with the option to have porridge for a change. A grand total of zero children opted for the porridge option.
Today is the last day of skiing. Most of the day has been spent on some familiar runs, enjoying the scenery and avoiding any injuries – Hoorah!
Highlights of the day
Rosemary joining Christian’s group after a ski pass mishap. She coped very well and didn’t fall over once.
Henry’s smile despite falling over numerous times. However, when he fell after attempting to cause a mini-avalanche with his ski pole, there was little sympathy.
Katie hitting three children, two adults and a door with her ski poles. “It wasn’t my fault!”
Mr Britten falling over for the first time this week. Serves him right for attempting (showing off) to ski on one ski.
The presentation ceremony where the children received their progress cards.
The look on Rosemary’s face when Christian asked her for a kiss! “I am always looking for an English girlfriend but never have any luck” moaned Christian.
Lunch
Starter Chicken soup
Main Jacket potato with cheese, tuna, coleslaw or beans, salad, yoghurt, fruit
The children have been given their remaining euros and are going out shopping for souvenirs. Don’t be surprised if the come home with a snow globe and their own body weight in pick and mix.
The evening entertainment is luge. Looks a lot of fun.
Report of the evening meal, luge, skier of the day, “beret of shame” and the winners of the tidiest room later…
