The evening entertainment was karaoke. There was numerous renditions of classic songs. Jessie sang American Pie, Anushka was the Dancing Queen, Francesca was Footloose and Mr Britten walked 500 miles. We also had two supergroups. The boys sang? I’m a believer and the girls sang I will survive. It was great fun and all the children joined in.

Skiers of the day

Callum, who finally joined the parallel posse and impressed on the slalom course

Macy, who skied fantastically all day and never put a foot wrong

“The beret of shame”

Each day, the children come home at 11.30am for lunch. There is a rack for everyone skis. Each room has its own rack to avoid confusion after lunch. Mr Martindale and Mr Britten could not believe their eyes when they went to rack their skis. Someone had placed skis in their rack. Who would have the temerity to use the teacher’s rack. The culprit was easy to trace. Each pair of skis has a code number. On the door to the ski store there is a list of all the children with all their codes next to their name. After working out who was responsible, the teachers tracked down the guilty one. “Why are your skis on the teacher’s rack?” “It was empty so I just left my skis there!” For this heinous crime, the beret was placed on Danielle’s head who posed for photos wearing it.
