Tommy Taylor

This morning we had a visitor at school. Tommy Taylor, former professional footballer, came to assembly to tell the children about speedmark. For those old enough to remember, Tommy was a West Ham player in the 1970s.

Tommy played at West Ham for 9 seasons and played 340 times, scoring 8 goals.  His greatest honour came during the 1974-75 season when he was part of the F.A Cup winning team who beat Fulham 2-0.  Bobby Moore, England's World Cup winning captain, was on the losing team that day.
The 1975 West Ham United team are the last all-English team to win the FA Cup.
