Morning
A strange substance arrived at breakfast this morning - porridge! It had the children fleeing in all directions. Thankfully, it was closely followed by cornflakes and the pandemonium died down.
Mrs Major’s group continue to get special treatment with a bus to the slopes while the rest of have to walk.
All three Salterford groups went up the mountain this morning. Mr Martindale’s group skied over to Italy in search of a decent ice-cream. They are now only allowed to use parallel skis which hasn’t proved to be a problem. Mr Britten’s group went down their first black run. Very few falls and all the children celebrated at the bottom which drew some funny looks from the locals but we didn’t care. It was a special moment and it deserved a good scream! Mrs Major’s group went back up the mountain and did their first mountain trail. Since it got colder, the blue and green runs on top of the mountain are in a much more beginner friendly condition. This meant the children got a taste of speed in a safe environment.
Apparently, the email address has posed a small number of people problems. We have had a steady stream of messages all week and enjoyed reading them all. If you want to send any more its

Lunch - The jacket potatoes have regained control in the kitchen and made their belated arrival this lunch time. A choice of tuna, cheese or both along with salad, bread, butter and dressing.
The Legend Of Rohan
Rohan’s fame continues to spread around the resort. This morning, we skied quietly passed a group of snowboarders only to have “It’s Rohan!” screamed in our ears. One gentlemen was so keen to get a closer look at the legendary figure that he skied straight into him, fell over, got up and then thanked Rohan for the experience of a lifetime. “I’ll never clean these skis again” he yelled back as he skied off down the slope.
Ski Lifts
Ben W invented a new way of getting onto a chair lift. It’s a similar move to “The Isobel” but instead of placing you hand in the way of the safety bar you place your right leg.
Room Inspection
Hannah, Pip, Georgia and Anushka continue to lead the way although the others did show signs of improvement. Harry B has had an offer of help from his personal assistant back home called Rosie, while Isobel and our Rosie have decided that tidying your rooms is not for them and have scored badly again.
