Ski Holiday Day 1

We have arrived safely at the hotel after a trouble free journey. Despite the 3.45am meet, the children were lively all the way to Manchester. We checked in with two delightful Monarch airline staff and the "wicked witch of the north west" She seemed convinced that Isabella was a undercover terroist travelling with false papers and a cunning disguise. Mrs Venables was able to reassure the airline with an stern voice and Isabella was waved through.
The flight took off on time and we were soon soaring over Paris with a breakfast of sausage, beans and hash browns inside us.
Grenoble was warm and sunny, some children thought we had taken a wrong turn - "How can we possibly ski here!" Little did they know, there was still a three hour coach journey ahead of them.
We arrived at the hotel at 3.00pm and tucked into a "light" lunch of bacon and cheese pasta bake, salad and bread.
Since then, we have all been fitted with skis, boots, helmets and poles and have opted for an early night. After being awake for sixteen hours, there were very few complaints.

Please send any friendly messages and we will pass them on to the children.  Use the email address provided.
