A huge congratulations to everyone who took part in the Drama Competition. The results are as follows:

 Salterford House School for ‘The Tempest’

winning the Hydesville Tower Cup for best junior musical 

Outstanding Performance in a Musical
 Lily Penzer, Salterford House School in The Tempest

winning a book token for outstanding junior performance in a musical 

Judge’s Discretionary Awards

 Salterford House School for ‘The Tempest’ for “exciting use of movement and language”, winning The Nancy Griffiths Cup for an aspect of acting, production, staging, costume or effects which has caught the Adjudicator’s eye.

Only 4 discretionary awards are available each year and so this is an indication of the high standard of the performance.

Well done to everyone- especially Lily for her OUTSTANDING performance!!

Easter Raffle 2015

We will be holding an Easter Raffle this year and would like donations towards this as soon as possible. Chocolate and Easter eggs are the obvious theme, but anything you could donate will be accepted.

Tickets will be on sale in school from 23rd March and the draw will take place on Saturday 28th March at the performance of The Tempest at Frank Seeley School.

Winning tickets will be displayed in the office from Monday 30th March if prizes are not collected at the performance. 

Performances: 

Friday 27th March 2015 @ 7pm at Frank Seeley School

Children may be collected from school 12.30 onwards and must be at Frank Seeley for no later than 6pm please.

Saturday 28th March @ 7pm at Frank Seeley School

Performers to arrive at Frank Seeley no later than 6pm please.

Tickets are now on sale  at £5 each from the school office.

	Tempest Rehearsals You may notice the sky get darker on Friday as the UK experiences the first eclipse of 2015.

A solar eclipse is when the Moon lines up between the Sun and the Earth, blocking out the Sun's light.

It's a rare event and only possible when the Moon is at exactly the right distance from the Earth.

The eclipse we'll see on Friday will be a partial eclipse.

The sky will darken but the Sun will still peek out from behind the Moon.

The eclipse will begin at 8.45am and the Moon will be nearest the middle of the Sun at 9.31am.

By 10.41am it will all be over.

The UK hasn't seen a full solar eclipse since 1999, and won't get one until 2090.

Never look directly at the Sun - you may damage your eyes forever.

Red Nose Day "Make your face funny for money" falls on Friday March 13th 2015.
We will be having an activity every day within school to raise money.

entry sheets will be available from Ms Bradley on Monday and will be judged on Friday with a winner for the Funniest/Best.
