Puzzle of the week
Last weeks puzzle still not solved - although Mrs Stopher did work it out!  You can still view it on here but there is a new puzzle on the wall at school.

Divide 470 marbles between 3 boys so that Andrew gets 120 more than Bill who receives 70 more the Chris. How many does each boy receive?

Ned's Joke of the week
Salterford's answer to Tim Vine provided us with another rib-tickler.
Boy – Can I go to the toilet?
Teacher – After you have told me the alphabet.
Boy – abcdefghijklmnoqrstuvwxyz
Teacher – What happened to the p?
Boy – It’s dribbling down my leg!

Why is there a picture of the Eiffel Tower on the board this week? A red square for the first one to find out!

Last Week's Puzzle

Five boys took part in a fitness test. Tony scored higher than Sam who didn't have the lowest score. Jack had the highest score and Gerry scored more than Paul but less than Tony. Who had the lowest score?

Georgia in year five was the first to tell Mr Britten the answer and wins a red square.

The answer was Paul.

This weeks problem
Old Wrinkly spent one-quarter of his life as a boy, one-eighth as a youth, and one-half as an active man. If Old Wrinkly spent 10 years as an old man, then how many years did he spend as an active man?

A new feature on the board this week is Ned's Joke of the Week.  Our year five comedian has an encyclopaedic knowledge of jokes (both good and bad) and will keep us laughing throughout the year.
